University College London Institute for Sustainable Resources - leader
The University College London Institute for Sustainable Resources (UCL ISR) generates knowledge in the globally sustainable use of natural resources and trains the future leaders of this field. It is a cross-disciplinary institute set up to carry out research, teaching and enterprise work in the research theme of sustainable use of resources and the environment and to bring together capabilities from across UCL. Its research portfolio has developed significantly over the last two years and now includes several European Union FP7 and RCUK EPSRC funded projects.
Danish Technical University (DTU) Climate Change and Sustainable Development Research Group
The research group is conducting multidisciplinary technical and economic research on climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation with the aim to support integrated assessment, decision making and the development and implementation of climate friendly technological solutions. Research activities are within the three following areas:
- Modelling of climate Change mitigation, renewable energy, and smart cities;
- Decision making tools for climate change impacts and adaptation;
- Sustainable development and policy implementation.
DTU team
Ecologic
Ecologic Institute conducts inter- and transdisciplinary environmental research. The experts at Ecologic Institute also prepare political analyses and function as consultants. Ecologic Institute operates branches in Berlin, Brussels and Washington DC. In its role as a private, independent organization, Ecologic Institute is dedicated to the preparation of relevant sociopolitical aspects of sustainability research and contributing new knowledge to environmental policy.
Trinomics
Trinomics B.V. is an economic policy consultancy carrying out research and delivering policy advice related to energy, environment and climate change. Its clients are international, European and national public sector bodies and NGOs. To tackle the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges and to support the transition to a low-carbon economy, Trinomics works at the forefront of policy analyses, to derive recommendations for improved governance and policy-making.
SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden
SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden AB belongs to the RISE group which is owned by the Swedish Government. SP is the national institute for technical evaluation, research, testing, certification, metrology and calibration and cooperates globally with large and small companies, universities, institutes of technology and other organisations. The SP group consists of nine technical units and eight subsidiary companies and has expertise in Innovation Systems Analysis, Life Cycle Analysis, Foresight, Energy Systems Analysis, Policy and Economics, and Communication and Process Management.
